Gina Rodriguez at the Oscars

Gina Rodriguez is America’s new sweetheart, having recently won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy. At this year’s Oscars, she radiated pure Hollywood glamour. Celebrity Hairstylist Paul Norton created a fabulous, graceful up-do, which perfectly complimented her classic blue gown designed by Suzy Amis Cameron's “Red Carpet Dream Dress” campaign winner.

Find out how simple it is to re-create Gina’s up-do:

1.     Start by applying John Frieda Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth Frizz-Immunity Primer to damp hair to help get rid of the frizzies.  Blow out hair until fully dry.

2.     Divide hair into two sections, front and back. Divide front half into three smaller sections. Set the center front section with hot rollers. This technique will add fullness and volume. Clip the side front sections out of the way, temporarily.

3.     For the back section, pull it back into a low sleek, side ponytail. Apply John Frieda Frizz Ease Expert Finish Polishing Serum to prevent flyaways and spray ponytail with John Frieda KeraFORCE Intense Hold Hairspray.  Take the ponytail into three sections and braid it, then secure with an elastic. Twist the braid to form a bun and secure with hair pins. For the front section, make sure each side section is over the bun and completely secured with hair pins.

4.     Take out the hot rollers and brush through. For added fullness, back-comb the hair gently. Your look is completed when you anchor the top section of the hair to the back with bobby pins. Oh and for the final last look: lightly spray entire head with John Frieda KeraFORCE Intense Hold Hairspray.
