Why THALIA X Motives Cosmetics Collabs Are Exactly What You Need Right Now

As we sit here, mostly still staying at home with our Zoom calls and maybe more of a natural look these days, we wanted to bring a pop of color into your life in the form of a collaboration with the Queen of Latin Pop, THALIA and Motives Cosmetics. We thought we’d give you a sneak peek into the limited-edition THALIA X Motives Viva Eye & Cheek Palette ($45) and the THALIA X Motives Liquid Lipstick in Red Velvet ($20).

With just eight eyeshadows in the THALIA X Motives VIva Eye & Cheek Palette, the variety of fun matte to super shimmery colors get you from a natural day look to more vibrant shades of blue, gold, and orange. We applied the Sass shade wet to better highlight under the brow, and used Hottie to help define the cat eye.

After your eyes are applied, you can use a universal shade of contour to make those cheekbones and angles of the face pop, apply a spicy rose-colored blush to the cheeks, and top off with a pearly highlighter for a dewy glow.

The final topping for any look is a splash of color on the lips. We loved THALIA X Motives Liquid Lipstick in Red Velvet because who honestly doesn’t love a good red lip. The matte finish leaves lips hydrated and not cakey like some matte lipsticks and it was easy to apply with the doe foot applicator so you could really get a good outline on the lips without having to use a lip liner.
