What’s your New Year’s Resolution? We asked these Celeb Hair & Makeup Artists

And…that’s a wrap for 2014! And if you’re like us, you’ve pondered, pontificated and just plain tried to erase a few things that happened this year. But don’t despair, 2015 is upon us and it’s time to start anew. Carpe diem! Visualize! Let it go! Okay, enough with the clichés but you get the idea. We asked some of our fave hair and makeup artists what their New Year’s Resolutions are and you might be surprised about what they had to say.

I resolve to live a cleaner life.  To take better care of myself and my planet.  And to exfoliate all garbage from my life and skin. - Wisdom in Beauty Founder and Makeup Artist Leah Rial

To have everyone who sit in my chair use sunscreen. In my opinion its the ultimate beauty secret. The one thing people should do for themselves, if they don’t do anything else! - Makeup Artist Toy Van Lierop

More time for Zen and the Spa! Because every great beauty look starts with a peaceful, healthy mind and body. My favorite ways to relax are spending time at the traditional Russian Banya to sweat out all the toxins, or the traditional Korean spa for their thorough body scrub that makes your skin super soft and glowing. - Makeup Artist Ingeborg

To get a few of my personal clients to stop taking out their boredom on their hair. Stay classic with hairstyles because they never go out of fashion. - Hair Stylist Michael Kanyon

To be much more organized and frugal with my finances. – Makeup Artist Allan Avendano

I'm determined to drink water as much as I drink red wine! Gotta keep my skin glowing from inside out. - Makeup Artist Su Han

I love this time of year to take the opportunity to reflect and make new goals for the New Year!  It gives us all an opportunity to start fresh and make positive choices for ourselves.  And a positive mindset is always the key ingredient for all good things to come! So one of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2015 is to take, at the very least, a spa treatment of a facial, a massage, or both! - Makeup Artist Alexandra Schafer
